But for how long the “old faithful” number (ending in 795) will continue after 15 years sterling service is debatable.
We have tried “porting” the sim card and/or phone number to a new modern iPhone but it is not working. So we are phasing out the old number (ending with 795) and joining the new, modern “WhatsApp” generation…

Text messages are very reliable as they tend not to get lost.
We no longer use emails as they are notoriously insecure and worse, AI seems to be behaving in odd ways according to the BBC with access and screenshot to email traffic: Click Here and Here).
Emails were a candidate for being phased out in favour of encrypted systems such as WhatsApp. However, WhatsApp are allowing AI unfettered access, or they were: Click Here.
